Interviewed May 2012 (took 5 days)
I submitted an application in person and talked to the merch manager two days later. She said I would get a call the next day--when I didn't, I went back and talked to a different manager. She said they weren't looking for seasonal workers. That's fine, but I wonder why the other person I talked to didn't think my short availability would be a problem.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Bedford, NH (took a day)
I applied for the job in store and asked to schedule an interview, but they told me the manager wasn't there. I called a few days later but still didn't get the manager. I stopped by after school to speak to someone about an interview; apparently the manager had called my house and spoken to my parents that day hoping to schedule an interview with me. I ended up getting an interview right then since I stopped by.
She really didn't ask me many questions since this would be my first job. She made sure I was a hard worker and okay with a fast paced environment. She told me it was a good first job and I didn't have to try very hard to get it.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
The easiest interview ever. They normally give people a 10 am Saturday Interview, you come in sit down in the back office and they ask you a series of questions. "Tell me about a time when..." ("Tell me about a time you didn't ge along with someone, what did you do? Tell me about a time you did something wrong, what did you do?" Etc. )
They'll ask you about an experience you have, what you liked the most, what you didn't, etc. Ask how much pay your asking for. The basics. Nothing is hard about this interview. In the year and a half I've been with the company they hire every single person they interview. A little odd, lazy or whatever else you can think of. Unless you tell them you plan on stealing you're more than likely to get the job.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in San Francisco, CA (took 1 week)
Well I turned in my written application and the hiring manager said she'd call me in a few days. She did, and she was extremely nice. It took around 30-40 minutes initially... Some questions she asked was: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I said Grad-School... well I'm a freshman in college so... yeah. I told her it's what my major required. Then she asked how do you feel you will do in this atmosphere? And I said I think I'll do well because I was on the volleyball team for 3 years and if you're slow you lose the point. And then she asked me a question to ask a question... She told me to ask her a question... I choked and just commented about marshalls because I couldn't think of anything but after I talked to my friend he said I should have asked about working hours and dress code ahhh! well good luck guys.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Tampa, FL (took 1+ week)
I went into Marshalls and filled out an application. About 5 days later I got called to come in for an interview. My interview was a group interview with 3 people(including myself). We got asked all the normal questions. It last about 30 minutes. The hiring manager said he'd call us in a couple days if we were chosen. I was called and accepted the offer.

Interviewed Apr 2009 in Pittsburgh, PA (took a day)
I went in for the interview, and had a 1:1 with two different people. I later learned that the first person was not a manager, but was the head of a department. She spent the interview trying to intimidate me, and asking me silly questions like "Do you work hard?" The second person was the actual manager, and she was lovely. She asked my basic questions about how I would handle certain situations, ect. and I took a personality test. Two days later, I received a job offer.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Gaithersburg, MD (took a day)
I applied online at snagajob.com, then the next day I was called in for an interview. I went to the interview extremely nervous, then when I met the manager he took me to his office and we started the interview. At first we just had a conversation, then he pulled out papers [I assume my application] and we went over if I agree to the pay and understand the job, then he asked me some questions. I don't remember all of the questions, but it was like "Best costumer service?" "best qualities?" "worst qualities?" "worst costumer service?" "how did you handle a situation in which you and a person didn't get along?" and asked me what I want to be when I'm older. It took about 30 minutes. I went home, then he called again around 9, but I was asleep and figured he'd call back again, which he didn't. I never heard from Marshalls, but I'm glad. I now work at JC Penneys. I heard that the pay is not worth all of the work at Marshalls. He said he would start me at 7.82 or something, but I would only work like 20 hours a week, if that. Maybe sometimes more, maybe less.
