Lifeguard Interview

Brighton, MA

I applied through other source and the process took a day - interviewed at Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Interview Details – There is really no interviewing process. To work as a lifeguard for a DCR pool, you have to take a lifeguard test on selected dates in the spring. Once you pass the given tests, you are hired on the spot and required to fill forms for the summer employment. Lifeguard tests involved swimming 500yard, treading with a 10lb brick, performing various rescues, and owning a lifeguard and CPR certification. The process usually takes about 2 hours.

Interview Question – No questions are asked. All you had to do was pass the lifeguard tests.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – You fill out forms stating your preferred pool locations. Pool locations are first come first serve.
