Interviewed Jul 2011 (took 6 weeks)
Process consisted of recruiter screening, a series of three phone interviews lasting about an hour each, and half a day on site. On site interview included a personality and IQ screening, lunch with three supervisors of different levels and a one on one technical interview.
Overall the process was pleasant. Everyone was quite friendly. One of the phone interviewers was quite difficult to communicate with. He seemed to be waiting to hear buzz words rather than digesting my responses. I had prepared for the onsite interview by reviewing technologies and ideas the company uses. This preparation was suggested.
The actual interview , however, pulled from corners of my resume not related to what I was told to expect. The interviewer did not seem comfortable with these technologies and often jumped around and was inconsistent with what he was asking of me. I was also quite surprised when one of the company executives asked me during lunch about my marital status. Wife? Kids?

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 2 days)
This process consisted of 2 phone interviews. The first one was mostly behavioral. The person interviewing me just asked pretty standard questions about my resume and how it applies to the job. The second interview was more of the same with a few situational and logic questions.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 weeks)
First interview was behavioral phone interview.
The second interview was also a phone interview and consisted of behavior questions and a couple brain teaser questions. They were really trying to figure out your thought process.
The third interview was in at their Chicago office. This interview consisted of the Wonderlic test, and 4 1:1 interviews which again were a combination of behavior and brain teaser type questions.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took a day)
Interview consisted of a combination of questions aimed at discovering insights into your personal motivations as well as thought processes.
After a number of background questions about your past history (such as reasons for choosing the university you attended, listing best/worse experiences of ___________ and explanations why) and personality-type questions (e.g. Along the lines of: Tell me about yourself? What's your favorite tv show and why?), I was given a number of short case problems to work through.
The case problems really focused on analytical thinking and how you go about solving a problem.
-Being able to properly deconstruct problems in terms of logic, efficacy, and background knowledge of the industry as well as being to reference available resources and different interpretations
-Also a review of statistics would greatly help how you approach certain problems

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Chicago, IL (took a day)
Met them at my school's career fair. Hit it off really well with the recruiters and alumni analysts. Seems to be a very young group of people at Mattersight. Seem to also be expanding very fast - because the interviewer emphasized that they have been increasing their intake size and the number of batches they are taking in. Unfortunately they do not take in international students hence I wasn't able to continue my future rounds of interviewing with them.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Austin, TX (took 1 week)
All interviews were conducted over the phone and the company sounded like there were on the bleed edge of technology doing things that many people haven't done before. There were about four phone interviews one initial phone screening to get my background then there was an interview from the manager with a general overview of the company, an interview from the project manager/technical lead, asking about background and an interview with a developer.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 4 weeks)
The interview process was pretty typical aside from some logic questions and a case study. The interviewers were pretty scripted and asked similar questions like "tell me about a time when..." or "describe a situation when....". The logic questions were pretty pointless. The 1:1s were informal and not challenging. The interview lasted about half a day and a decision was made pretty quickly afterward.

Interviewed May 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 4+ weeks)
There are three rounds of interviews. The first is a simple behavior interview conducted over the phone. The second round is another phone interview, with two parts--another behavior interview, and a "logic" question. There are no case studies in any rounds--the brain teasers instead simulate the type of thinking process necessary in the consulting realm. The questions are not overly difficult, but as they do not relate to business problems, it can be hard to prepare for them, and they may not actually give you a chance to display your true skill. The final interview is held at their HQ, where you have a 4 hour interview consisting first of a Wonderlic test, followed by several one on one interviews which mix behavioral interviews with more brain teasers. Overall, the interviews are not too tough, although I did not get an offer, so perhaps I am underestimating the toughness. You just have to hope the brain teaser is one you can understand easily. Also, it may take some time for them to get back to you about whether or not you will get an offer. If you do really well, you will likely hear back immediately. Otherwise, it may take upwards of a month or longer before you hear for sure whether or not you get an offer, or if they will decline your application.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 2 months)
Very long interview process. Did not reimburse me for a day's worth of traveling to and from the interview. Felt like I did great during the interview, but got no feedback until they gave the job away two weeks later. The interview itself consisted of 4 one on ones with people who work there. Each had different questions. One focused on my resume and experiences, another asked me intelligence questions, another asked a bunch of behavioral questions.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Chicago, IL (took 2 months)
I met this company initially at a University career fair, but was also referred by a current employee. The interview process was long and drawn out. I had my first phone interview within a week of talking with them at the career fair. This interview was a basic behavioral interview: asking about my background, why I studied what I did in college/grad school, and why I was interested in the company. After this, I had 2 more phone interviews over the course of a month and were designed to see how I interpreted problems and came to a solution. I then had a day long interview in Chicago in which I met with 4 different people for a series of interviews over the course of the day. The first 2 were behavioral, like the initial phone interview, and the last 2 were all about problem solving.
Overall, I noticed a lack of communication between the interviewers. I was asked the same questions by multiple people over the course of the interview process and responded with pretty much the same answer each time.
