Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 3 days)
I was interested in working in another store so I visited the location. I filled out an application and a couple of days later the general manager called and we set up an interview. It was incredibly easy going and not a big deal at all. It was pretty much a lateral move.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Greenville, SC (took a day)
I put in my application through McState.com and waited about 2 days before the district manager gave me a call. Scheduled the interview for the next day. Questions were consistent with most employers (i.e. why do you want to work here? what kind of skills can you bring? Why did you leave last employer?). After interview I was offered the job and went to orieentation two days later and began working the next day. Only thing weird was how everyone treated the district manager. During the interview, all the employees kept looking over at him with a scared look on their face. Thought nothing of it until I was hired and realized the district manager makes the crew feel inferior to everyone else.

Negotiation Details
There were no negotiations, the salary was laid on the table and I could accept it or leave. My advice is to be yourself and make sure you have knowledge of what you are talking about during the interview. I've seen many applicants who tried to show themselves as more knowledgeable than they were and ended up failing.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Anniston, AL (took 1 week)
I applied at a job fair and met with human resources. She was very nice and there were about 5 other people interviewing there at the time. She said I had experience because I had handled money before and she offered me to go to a different McDonads for an additional interview at 2pm. At that time I met the District Manager and she was very nice as well. She asked me typical questions about my experience and how I would deal with customers and employees. I felt it went really well and she said she would call and let me know. I waited about a week and then got nervous and called the home office and just asked for the status and at that point the hiring manager said they were prepared to offer me the position.

Negotiation Details
I did not negotiate. I told them I was asking for 32k in the initial phase but when they offered me the job for 30k I was very excited and just accepted it. I later regretted not pushing for 32k.
