Interview Details – I had filled out an online application and was called in a few days later for an in-store interview. When i walked in there were several other females around me, but i was the only one wearing business attire. After the people ahead of me went i was my turn for an interview. The interviewing lady was nice and most of the questions she asked was confirming the information on my application. She then asked "Why McDondald's?" to which i answered that it would be a good first job to have and would give me experience. She then asked if i had anymore questions and i asked what date would training begin if i got hired. She then said the date and had me fill out a background information sheet. She then told me she would see me at orientation which is basically the first day of work.

Interview Details – Went into a city hiring event at the restaurant. First, I was told to sign a sign-in sheet and mark whether or not I had filled out an application on-line. I had filled out an online application so the manager went to the back to get my application information and had me sit down in a booth. I waited a few minutes and then was interviewed by the assistant manager. She asked the usual behavioral questions. Then she left me and discussed information with the General Manager and he came over and interviewed me and also asked behavioral questions. He confirmed I knew they were open 24/7 and that they needed people with open availability. I told him I understood and he offered me the job. He advised me that the assistant manager would be calling me to set up time for me to come in for orientation.

No Offer – Interviewed in Champaign, IL May 2013 – Reviewed Jun 9, 2013 New
Interview Details – I applied online, got an interview, attended the interview, passed the interview, was told to go to orientation, attended orientation, filled out tax paperwork, submitted my IDs to be copied, and was given a date to start work. The day before the date I was to start, I was called by my interviewer and told I did not get the job. What gives?! When I asked for a reason, my interviewer did not have one, but said that it may have to do with my score on the assessment that I took when I originally applied online 2 weeks previous. (1) How good is that assessment? and (2) If that was the reason, they had lots of time to figure that out sooner, why did they not do so? This is my most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have EVER had with a prospective employer IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!
