Market Research Intern Interview

Anonymous Employee
Oak Brook, IL

I applied through college or university and the process took 2+ months - interviewed at McDonald's in April 2013.

Interview Details – I had a phone interview with a manager in Consumer and Business Insights Department at McDonald's. They mainly asked me about my school records and experience in the field of market research, such as qualitative research experience and data analysis experience. The interview was very friendly and I felt good. 3 weeks later, they invited me to onsite interview and I talked to 2 managers, 1 directors and a vp in the department. I still felt good with the interview and enjoyed talking to them. Our topics varied from my experience and my hobby to my opinions of McDonald's in different countries. Finally, After one month, the manager called me and offered me an verbal offer. However, after 10 days, they cancelled the position due to funding problem and I lost everything I worked for.

Interview Question – The VP asked me what are the differences among McDonald's in China, US and France because I received education in these three places. He also asked my opinions toward their concerns on business.   Answer Question
