I was sent an automated email from the external HR dept telling me that my resume qualifies for a phone interview. I was given a few options as to when I wanted to schedule the phone interview in an email--so this process was easy. The external HR rep was very impersonal, and just read questions and did not give any personal feedback. I was then contacted via telephone to have another phone interview with the department's managers. I completed a 20 minute phone interview, and was offered a face-to-face interview. I met with 4 different people, of which took about 2.5 hours and I answered several questions regarding my background and basically where I saw my career going.

Sadly, I was never contacted about the final decision on the position, and it took a little over two weeks before I got the uncomfortable email indicating that I did not get the job. I am disappointed because I was never personally contacted, and you are left wondering what it was that they did not want.

Initial contact was through HR screening personnel. They were very cordial and professional. Next step included a phone interview with the hiring manager. Excellent questions were exchanged on both technical and non-technical topics. Contacted a few days later to set up an on site interview. Interview was very good, interviewers were prepared with questions. Discussions were honest and informational.

Applied online on April. Prescreen and phone interviewed on August. On site on September. Everybody is very nice during on site. Gave a 45min talk, 1:1 interviewed with 6 person. Very good industry in DC area.

The group I interviewed with was great. They were all extremely kind and seemed to really like working there. I first interviewed with 2 of the managers, then with their HR representative, and finally with the group leader. The only classic interview question I was asked, besides about my background, was about conflicts with people and how I typically solve them. I really wish that the job had been a better fit, because I would have loved to work there with these people.

Company has a good process in place. Every application (I have applied electronically for a number of different positions) receives an automated response indicating the position you applied for and a generic statement that they will contact you if they are interested. Additionally, if they decide to not interview you, they send an email indicating the position and a note which essentially says they "will not be advancing your application for this role". Compared to many other companies who you never hear back from at all, at least you know where you stand with MedImmune. As far as the interview process, their first round of interviews is a phone interview, where a single interviewer asks general questions and gathers some background information, including salary requirements. Both phone interviews I have had with them were easy and relaxed. The two different interviewers were very professional and stayed focused on getting their questions answered. I have not advanced past the phone interview at this point.

I was sent an email to schedule an interview time. When I got the call for the phone interview the person asked general questions and I could not ask anything at the end. It lasted all of about 10mins. It was clear this was a 3rd party conducting phone screens. I think it was very unprofessional and the interviewer did a poor job. Medimmune needs to find a better way to conduct phone screens. I feel the interviewer was not qualified to decide if I should continue in the interviewing process. I was just awful!!!!
