Interviewed Feb 2012 in Mundelein, IL (took a day)
This was the second round of interviews for the OMDP position. There was a mix of people from operations from the VPs and President to engineers in the OMDP. Overall the interview repeated a lot of the similar questions to learn about past experiences and how they could apply to the job. Everyone was very receptive.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Mundelein, IL (took a day)
I submitted an application for an entry level position advertised on their website. The next day I got a call from an HR person for a phone screen. I was asked the standard HR questions: "How did you manage to go to school and hold a full time job at the same time?; What is your ideal work environment? What specifically interested you about the position? How much are you looking to get paid? etc. She then asked to bring me in for an in-person interview, scheduled two days later. I went to the interview and showed up 15 min early/ Parking was full, so make sure to give yourself extra time to find a parking spot. I met with the same HR person at first who asked me a few more standard background & behavioral questions. Then I was given a 12-minute, 50-questions IQ test. Do some online research for similar questions - some of them may be tricky, but if you prepare in advance you will get at least half of them right. The sample aptitude questions available online are very similar. Then I was taken to my first 1:1 interview. The interviewer looked very friendly and laid-back. I was asked a few questions direclly from my resume. The interview had to be suddenly interrupted because of a meeting! So it only lasted about 15 min. I was given a business card with the interviewer's information and was told reach out with any unanswered questions. After an apology, I was taken to meet with another person from the same department. It was a very friendly and casual conversation. I got the feeling that both of them really enjoy working for the company. At the end, I was told that I would be contacted very soon regarding their hiring decision. The whole process lasted about 1.5 hours. A week after the interview, I contacted the same HR person for a follow up but never got an email back. I was contacted 5 business days later, over the phone, and was told that they decided to proceed with another candidate but will stay in touch with me when future openings become available.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
I was told to set up three dates and time for a phone interview, never got a phone interview, but was call the next day to take a IQ test . I had 12 minutes to take the test, did not pass and got a e-mail the next day saying that I was not a good fit for the job. It is crazy to me that they let a test determined how is a good fit or not and never did not phone interview.

Interviewed Dec 2009 (took 2 days)
I had a very brief phone interview with Medline. I was set-up with the Director of the recruiting department for my interview. He seemed very nice and the interview was relaxed. The interview consisted mostly of your standard behavioral questions. He started off by asking me to run through my resume for him and then went right into the behavioral questions. At the end of the interview I was asked to do a Wonderlic test. The interview overall was pretty average and was told that I would hear back in about a week. I never received any sort of return call, email, anything. I emailed the person I interviewed with and still never heard back. This very much soured my experience and perception of Medline, and perception of the type of people that work there.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Oakville, ON (Canada) (took 1 week)
Interviewer for the regulatory director role was represented by the joint director of finance and IT. Overall, the interview was formal and friendly however I left with an impression of limited organizational support (Medline is not a publically-held company) and a company culture to focus on the bottom-line. The interviewer was not particularly familiar with regulatory and the interview concluded with an odd intelligence test (comparable with a high-school level test in a arithmetic, problem-solving and word-problems worded with "tricks").

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Mundelein, IL (took 2 weeks)
I am changing industries, so it was a challenge to get an interview. Through persistence, I was finally given an interview.
The interview was formal but friendly. The burden was immediately placed on me to explain how I could step into this role w/o experience in Medical. Though I feel like I made a compelling and impassioned pitch. At the end of the interview, I was given a 50 question intelligence test to complete in 12 minutes.
The recruiter did send my resume on as a candidate for the position, but I was ultimately not considered.

Interviewed Apr 2010 in Mundelein, IL (took 3 weeks)
First I found them through the career services through my university. The HR recruiter contacted me prior to the career fair to schedule my interview with him and the VP of Operations. The next day they contacted me to schedule an on-site interview. They offered airline tickets or mileage reimbursement, it also included stay at a hotel. The on-site interview consisted of a full day of 1:1 interviews with various VPs and other engineers.
The organization is very flat and you get daily interactions with the VPs. They seemed performance driven and understood that great compensation came with long hours/work weeks.
