Interviewed Aug 2010 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
I applied online (through a referral). After not hearing back for a few weeks, I attended a Working@Meetup event, and then received a call a few days later. I came in for my first interview with HR. After that, I was called in two more times to have an interview with four more folks. The whole process took about a month, perhaps even longer (it was summer, so people were on vacation and my follow-up interviews took some time to schedule). My interviews felt somewhat laid-back and friendly, but at the same time it was clear that the standards were high.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
They're a really nice, cool company. The first interview went well. was asked to come into their NYC headquarters, where i met with 3 other employees. they asked me questions about my resume, background, personal interests - a lot of just getting to know me. ultimately wanted more experience.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
First I went to the info session, where they screened the first round of applicants. Those who do not go to this must do a phone interview. The 2nd round was a 1-1 interview. Most of the questions were about my background, there were not really any "What would you do in this case" type questions.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
Interview was through a school program and was scaled back from an hour interview to a 30 minute interview, so Meetup was not discussed at all. The entire interview was more of a question/answer session than a discussion about my experience and the position. I'm not sure if the lack of time contributed to their interviewing style or if they usually question their candidates without dialogue. It was only at the very end of the interview was I able to ask a couple of questions about the position and learned that it was not entirely as described.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
The phone interview was basically what one would expect from any phone interview. They went over some details of their company and then followed it up with the basic interview questions that seem to be in every HR handbook. Things like What is a difficult situation you have to had to deal with at work etc...

Interviewed Jul 2009 in New York, NY (took 4 days)
I was called two days after I submitted my resume. Had a brief phone conversation with the recruiter and she asked me to come with an interview. It was not the typical interview about what's your biggest flaw, and why should I hire you. More of a what social networking website do you frequent and what do you like about them and don't you like about them. Needless to say I was under prepared and did not receive an offer. The office was big and lofty, as hipster trendy as the city it was in. Lots of red. No one appeared to have an office. There several private rooms for meetings, but a very open floor plan for open communication and whatnot. Very young staff, but from what I saw everyone seemed to get along.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in New York, NY (took 4 weeks)
The company is great, and the people are very friendly, but the interview process was actually pretty tough! It started with a phone interview, which took about 30 minutes. This was more formal than the phone "conversations" that a lot of companies use for screening potential employees, as the HR person on the other end asked a lot of real interview questions. The next step was an in-person at MeetupHQ interview with the same HR person, and then with the account manager. They both asked typical interview questions, but the Account Manager asked more questions regarding my technical experience. Both of them discussed the benefits. They told me that they'd be in touch regarding another meeting at MeetupHQ with the account manager again, and with the VP of corporate sponsorships. In my last meeting, the account manager asked me a few more interview questions, and gave me a deck to give them "suggestions" on, and the VP of corporate sponsorships discussed the position more with me. Since this assignment was pretty open-ended, I worked my butt off on it to really impress them. However, I was called a few days later and told that they've decided to move forward with another candidate. Definitely a great learning experience, but I wish that they actually looked at the work that I was doing. I ended up sending it to them anyway, but they didn't give me a response. This final outcome, although frustrating, gave me confidence to continue my job search, as Meetup seems to be really selective, and I got very far in the interview process.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in New York, NY (took 2+ weeks)
I have had two interviews. A first interview with the HR where I've answered general questions about myself, my work experience, my education, skills, etc. Then, a second interview, now a technical one. This time, the QA team lead have started to make me technical questions. The interviews lasted about 30min each.
