      May 17, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Detroit, MI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meijer (Detroit, MI) in May 2013

      Interview

I had 3 interviews with Meijer back-to-back in the same day. It went quite well considering the fact that I got hired on the spot. They're mainly looking for a friendly person who isn't afraid to smile. They put emphasis on smiling, so make sure you do this a lot.

      Question 1

There wasn't a difficult question. It seems like nowadays employers don't ask traditional questions anymore. They ask question to see how'd you react in certain situations.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meijer in Nov 2014

      Interview

Applied online for the Overnight stocker. I received a call about a week later to come in for an interview. When I arrived I went to the service desk and told them that I was there for an interview with the store manager. They told me to go back and wait in the employee break room. I was kinda weirded out by this because I felt like I wasnt suppose to be there but an employee who was at the door could tell that I was lost an assured me that It was ok for me to wait back there. I waited about 20 minutes and finally a lady came out of the office and told me that I would be interviewing with her instead of the store director. She was extremely nice and it was more like a conversation than an interview. I felt like I had the job before I walked in. After our "Conversation" She told me that they would do my background check and they would call me in for orientation when they received it. About a week later they called me in for orientation in which we filled out paperwork. I started working 2 days later.
