Interviewed Mar 2012 in Encino, CA (took 5 weeks)
I was in the running for the Franchise Relations Associate position at the Menchie's corporate office. The process I experienced was one phone interview and five separate in-person interviews at their office (two different managers, the VP and the CEO twice). They kept calling me back and I had about one interview a week. The questions they asked were thoughtful, challenging and a few of the typical kind (How do you define success? What do you value? What is my greatest weakness? Where do you see yourself in ten years?). The corporate office has what looks like a fun work environment: very colorful office, everyone is young and very professional, the dress code is causal, lots of activity and movement in the office. However, I rate the experience as difficult because of the number of times I went to interview at their office - I felt like it was overkill and that they did not get back to me about their decision - instead, I ended up reaching out to them (after my final interview, I waited a week and a half to hear back and then I called them and emailed them to follow up). I finally heard back that I was not hired with no explanation as to why.
Good luck to Menchie's corporate candidates. Seems like a really cool place to work but beware of their long interview process.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Nashville, TN (took 2 weeks)
I interviewed with the manager after receiving a phone call from her. We had a phone interview then she had me come in for another interview a few days later. She asked me basic questions and we discussed company history. She basically wanted to get a feel for my personality. It was easy. Then she called me back in for a second interview and offered to hire me.

Negotiation Details
Negotiations were not really done, as the company isn't in a position to negotiate. But, they are really laid back about taking time off, so that makes up for the pay negotiation that you can't really do.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Warner Robins, GA (took 3 weeks)
I saw that there was a business opening that was new to our town called Menchie's. I did a little bit of research online and found that you you could apply online to the new store, which I did. I was emailed a few weeks later with a request to fill out another application and email it back to the employer. I did so, and was called about a week later to come in for an interview. When I arrived to the interview I was a little shocked to find that it was a group interview. The owner hosting the interview was nice, yet there were a few overbearing people in the group, but that is with all group interviews. I haven't received a call back, but the owner mentioned in the interview that there were over 100 applicants and only 20 or less positions, so I'm somewhat hoping for the best on this....

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Marietta, GA (took 5 days)
I initially applied online through Menchies website, two weeks later I received a voice mail that the Owner reviewed my application and would like to set up an interview. The interview was se for five days after the phone call, and I arrive 15 minutes early. I then was called in and I initially handed him
a copy of my resumee, in which he was quite impressed with. He questioned me about my previous wprk experience, why I was applying if I had not quit my previous job. I explained how I disagreed with their value o speed over quality in the in-store managment at my previous job. I then was told that this place of employment could be the same since it is franchised. He then told me there are three things he enjoys focusing on which are: all in store customization choices, hiring rhe right employees, then makin aure employees are motivated. He listed qualities and said they are only for certain people, and i totally agreed. He said he enjoyed the interview which was about 50 minutes and asked for references which i sent him. I have not heard back and I'm disappointed but everythin happens for a reason.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
It was easy, you just have to be friendly and nice and smile alot. She asked about my previous work experience, ask why I quit my jobs. Also asked situations and you have to reply what you would do in those situations.
