Interviewed Jun 2010 in San Jose, CA (took 2 days)
Call from HR to discuss the position and the background. (I dont know why they read out stuff that we already have gone through at the time applying). HR says next round coming up. No reply for 2 weeks. HR calls and says be ready for a technical phone interview. Some engineer calls and goes through my resume for the 1st time while on the call ! Says you may not be a match for our department and asks whether why my resume was directed to their unit. Still goes ahead with the interview and says skills and resume are very impressive. Havent heard back since 3 months. They cant even flush out a reject mail !!

Interviewed Apr 2008 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
Since I was already working in Mentor with a different product group. It was an easy migration withing the company. The interview lasted only for about half a day where I was interviewed by my future manager and couple of team members. The questions were mainly to see how my previous experience and education background could fit the new position with a different product.

Interviewed Mar 2008 in San Jose, CA (took 2 days)
Submitted my resume online. Got a call back after two weeks. Did four hours of interviews on site with the team I was applying to. Two days later, I went back for an interview with another team member and VP of R&D. All the interview questions were pretty banal technical stuff, and a couple of brain teasers. Received offer by e-mail the next day.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in San Jose, CA (took 2+ months)
Advertised position was for marketing. But they were looking for the best R&D, who can go toe-to-toe with the best of R&D engineers, and the best sales person. There was no clear focus for what they are looking for. From phone screening to the first group interview it took less than a week. Then the process slowed down. The next interviewer just delayed for more than 3 weeks with one reason or the other. Then the hiring manager never responded and by the time he responded, it was already 8-10 weeks. The interview process was fairly unprofessional, even though the questions were fairly easy.
