Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 4+ weeks)
Phone interview from HR, then panel interviews with HR manager,Supervisor, and fellow Coordinator with the final 3rd interview with the Director. The panel interviews came off like an assembly line process. If you passed the first step then they would send you into another room with other staff, etc. The final interview was a waste of time as the Director just talked about herself and didn't ask me anything.

I had a pleasant interview experience with Methodist. Everyone was very open and friendly, and the interview consisted of simple one-on-one meetings with three members of a physician organization (administrator, RN, and Dr.).

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Houston, TX (took 3 months)
The process is very thorough, but arduous. You will meet almost every stakeholder in the psychiatry department including nursing, social work, the medical director, Vice President for patient care services etc. The round of interviews that I did were back to back for almost ten hours straight. As much as anything, they want a good "fit" for their organization and the department, not just someone with the right qualifications.
