Interviewed Apr 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 weeks)
The interviewer was some 10 minutes late and did not find it necessary to apologise for making me wait. The interview itself was pretty standard, only rather shorter - it lasted about 15 minutes instead of the standard half an hour. There were no tricky questions and the person who interviewed me did not really seem interested.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in Gurgaon, Haryana (India) (took a day)
Interview process consist of a group discussion followed by a group exercise. Both the stages were elimination round. The selected candidates have to go through an interview round with the senior most people.
I would advice just be yourself. Be organized and disciplined in your thoughts and show them. Prove that you have a good convincing and inter-personal skill. If u can, the interview and otehr process are a cake walk for u.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in New York, NY (took 1+ week)
You will interview will multiple managers 1:1. Everyone has to interview with the Managing Director and she is very tough. No matter how well you interview she will be able to put you into a pressured situation. Do your research. Know the current stock price, know the background of who you are interviewing with, know who they do business with and who there competitors are. All information is available on the website. Be prepared to tell them why they should hire you. Be focused on sales and wanting to make money, that is all they care about.

Negotiation Details
There is room to negotiate if you hold your ground. There is a huge range in terms of salary for consultants. Remember the managers are professional sales individuals and they will convince you that you should take this job for the same comp. Do not buy into it.

I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Istanbul (Turkey) (took a day)
It was the most important thing that you had to have a passion for the job. We passed over my background quickly. They generally interview with mid-senior and senior managers but this job was related with management traniee. That's why they were looking for new graduates. They asked about my dream company and also what my future career plans are.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Manchester, England (United Kingdom) (took 5 weeks)
The interview process to join Michael Page was fairly robust, it gave the candidate the opportunity to meet with peers and different levels of management throughout the business in order to gain a broad perspective of the business as a whole and on a local level. Although in a formal setting (and conservative business attire is best advised) the one on one meetings (there were several) were not structured and were allowed to flow freely. My advice here would be not to fall into the trap of over familiarity and make sure to sell yourself professionally and be clear and concise on what you have achieved to date and how this will benefit the business (there is a balancing act to that though... you'll need to get enough of your personality through as well!)

Negotiation Details
Michael Page are honest and fair and take many things into consideration when tabling an offer. It is likely to be toward the top end of what you are considered to be worth, so before getting deep into negotiation consider how much you want the role and how much you could stand to earn in bonus if you are the right person for the role... you push too hard they'll get cold feet and wonder if you really have the ability to make good commission

Interviewed Feb 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Applied online for the position through one of the aggregate websites and was immediately contacted for a 1:1 interview. Was listed in the marketing section of jobs, which I felt was not exactly accurate. Interview was very conversational, yet I felt the interviewer may have been overstating the position. Felt somewhat like a bad e-mail scan of making easy money, which I highly doubted. Was very hesitant to call it a sales position, but that's the impression I left the offices with.

Reason for Declining
Low base rate - normal for the position, but not something I could afford.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Montreal, QC (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
I applied online to the MP website for a position in NZ, and interviewed briefly with a consultant down there. As I live in Canada, I was referred to a Manager who is in Montreal for a second interview. I found the interview pretty collegial, overall.
They are keen to find out how well you will align with their culture, which is young, fun, and very focused. I didn't find any of the questions hard, but then my career has probably had significantly more stress and responsibility than most civilian careers ever do. I found the interviewer pretty insightful and keen, and came away with a positive impression.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 3 weeks)
Short initial phone interview, and asked to come in for in person interviews. Interviewed with two different directors at the office, each meeting was around and hour and a half in length. Finally asked to do a video conference call with the CEO. The process was very thorough and questions were searching. The interviewers liked to challenge your answers.
