Interviewed Jul 2007 in Seattle, WA (took a day)
I did an initial phone interview and then was flown out to Seattle to interview for a day. Was given a city tour from a guy from Holland, a dinky rental car that barely made it up and down the hills, and a hotel room somewhere in the city. Once you get to the campus you feel like you are on your own and you have to seek out each new interview. They ask a lot of hypothetical questions and then take you to lunch where you don't have time to eat. Most of the interviewes were pompous and think they are god's gift to life, the others make you fell like you are putting them out by taking their time up with an interviewer. When then turn you down they make you think you are an idiot and reccomend a remedial job for you in the company of you ever reapplied even though you are the head of recruiting for another Fortune 500 company. The campus is big. MSNBC is playing everywhere so giving you impression that you are at ground zero and very relevant. Everyone dresses differently. Some were sporty, some were sloppy, and some were wearing pant suits. I wore a suit and was way overdressed. I'd wear casual next time.
