Interviewed Jan 2009 in Bangalore (India) (took 3 days)
At that time the company was known as Aztecsoft (later acquired completely by MindTree), The resume was posted in a famous job portal.
Some job consultant approched me as she found my resume on that portal, She explained me the opening, asked for my updated resume, current CTC, expected CTC, reason for change etc. and Asked some basic technical questions.
Then my resume was shortlisted and sent to MindTree's one of the PM (as it was a project specific requirement), they also shortlisted the resume by looking at it, and the PM asked one of his technical manager to take telephonic round.
The technical telephonic round was very techical and really impressive (techy questions were asked). After telephonic I was informed by job consultant that I had clear that round.
Then they asked me to come to their place (Aztecsoft, now MindTree office) for face to face round. Face to face round was also really very techy and enjoyable.
Immediatly after Technical round, HR round was there (for salary negotiation, and for expalining salary structure, position offered etc.)
It took many days [around 15 days] (and I had to follow-up) to get the offer letter.

Negotiation Details
They will negotiate in HR round, and also when they finally send offer letter mail (over phone). and try to give as less as possible.
So if interview was good, and your expected salary is in range with the position offered, don't negotiate much at both HR round and over phone.

Interviewed Dec 2009 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
The staffing consultant sent a hiring mail and I responded with my updated resume. The phone interview was scheduled for the afternoon 3 days later.
The call was a conference call with the interviewer being present with another colleague of his [perhaps the manager].
The interview started off with the basics of Java in terms of architecture in how a Java program is executed in the environment. Later it progressed into some detailed topics like Threads, Stream classes and Collections.
The questions were not prepared and were more dependent on the answers being given. So I am assuming that the direction to the interview can be controlled by the interviewee.
They are looking for people who are strong in the fundamentals of their programming language [viz. Java here]. It will be easy for a person to clear this round with a strong fundamental background.
I do not know how many more rounds there would have been if the phone interview was cleared.
