Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
The interview was scheduled through a local consultant. It was initially 1:1 interview where the discussions were more on the professional experience and career aspirations. post the discussions and interview, a panel of interviewers joined who had some linkages with my earlier organistaions. The questions were mostly around the experience and few business analysis questions covering the treasury domain.
the interviewers were supportive, considerate and acknowledged good points. they did represented the work profile also in a simple manner. There linkages with my earlier organisation gave a good opportunity to provide for references and citations.
Interviewers did sound having good business knowledge with sharp presence of mind. There appreciative attitude did had good impact on my decision

Interviewed May 2011 in Bangalore (India) (took 3+ weeks)
I was contacted by a recruiter. That set me up for an interview with the engineers. First round was one on one, with emphasis on core java. In depth on object oriented concepts. Hardly any algorithms. Interested in the previous work done and general profile of the candidate. I think this first round was mostly a weeder, since walkins tend to attract a lot of people. The second round was slightly more technically detailed, and had two managers against me, it is called the manager round. It was supposed to be more of a fit test, but almost always ends up as a detailed technical interview. No white boards though. However, some of the questions asked can be challenging to people who are not very well versed with their language/technology. The managers had impressive core java knowledge (which I was interviewed for). They may decide during the interview which role they are hiring you for, and that can vary the interview questions to a great extent. More experienced candidates are probably hired for enterprise frameworks. The interview length is not fixed, it will last as long as it takes them to arrive at a decision, if they are sure they will almost let you know during the interview that you are in. The people are not very secretive about it. There might be a third round which is more of a formality, and that is when they let you know the final decision.

Negotiation Details
The negotiation was interesting. The HR department was slow to get back to candidates, but when they do, they ask you for current and expected salary. There is no general basic salary for any position, which means you'll get paid as much as you think you are worth. I know how this sounds, but there is a lot of variation between the salaries of people with the same role. The recruitment team doesn't haggle about the salary like the service oriented companies where the HR thinks that it is his duty to convince you to settle for less. They are generally willing to wait a 2-3 months for a candidate to join them.

Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
The interview process at Misys is a good experience and transparent . But the interview is tough one you would be interviewed even by the head of the department. Once the interview is over the communication with the HR team is very clear and jining phase is good.
Negotiation Details
The negotiation phase is very important and negotiate well as the in misys your joining salary is only good and appraisal process and hike after that is not good.

I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Bangalore (India) (took a day)
I am from Java/J2EE competency, almost 7 years of experience. The technical interview consisted of a couple of people who asked me questions on the framework and architecture of my current project. I think all they wanted to know was how clear was I with the current project I was in. A few questions were asked, of java collections/multithreading -- but not too deep. It lasted for about 30 mins and then I was interviewed by the project lead and the manager. I would rate my experience as a very positive one.

Negotiation Details
If you are good, they will pay you but you should remember to be reasonable. You should be very professional and should not be giving an impression that all you are looking for is money. Misys is a very good company and takes care of it's employees.

Interviewed Dec 2010 in Bangalore (India) (took 5 days)
Overall interview process was good. HR showed good employee care and the interviewers were also pleasing and kind. I had 2 technical round and 1 manageral round. First technical round was based on general understanding of Java/JEE with focus on hibernate framework. It also included database and SQL based questions. Questions were like:
1. Explain basic concepts of Java with an example in code?
2. Explain hibernate framework?
3. How would you use hibernate with example in code?
4. Write an SQL for given problem, can you do it the other way?
5. Explain your current project?
6. Basic questions on banking like what is savings account?
basically, they walked through my CV.
Second round of technical interview consists of little advanced questions on Collection framework and Database objects. It also included a problem statement for which they gave me a laptop without internet and asked to solve it with eclipse framework. It was good and I was able to do it.
Manageral gound consisted of basic process related questions:
1. What step are include in design phase, assumption, impact etc.?
2. Basic questions on banking
3. Various testing processes followed?
4. Why you want to join this organization?
5. Reason for change?
