No Offer – Interviewed in Pittsburgh, PA Nov 2009 – Reviewed Mar 1, 2010
Interview Details – I applied online and was contacted back with a small assignment. I submitted it and did not hear back for a month or so. Then I was invited in for an entire work day. I interviewed with one person, met several others, and was asked to do a skills test for the remainder of the time.
Interview Question – This is not a question, but the in-house skills test required on-the-fly coding knowledge, which was intimidating since I have just been copy and pasting so many trivial pieces of code over the years. I consider myself very advanced; I don't think having a "cheat sheet" handy or something of the like really effects a coder's level of skill. In fact, I think it makes the process much smoother and faster. View Answer
