Interviewed Feb 2012 in Boston, MA (took a day)
Got the interview through someone else at the office that I had met prior to the interview. The interview was a phone interview with an associate and analyst that lasted for about 25 minutes. Definitely was more on the technical side than most interviews and kind of brushed over the typical "why banking" and "why Moelis" questions as you would expect.

Got invited to the campus interview through career services; a panel of two people, both of which were associates, asked me to walk them through my resume, explain the valuation process of a company, and other behavioral/fit questions - why moelis, why M&A, etc.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 days)
I had a first-round 2:1 with their COO and a third-year analyst, which was one of the most pleasant conversations I've had in my interviews. No technicals at all, all about my own experience, competency, why financial industry, why investment banking, what I expect to be doing during internship and what do I know about Moelis. Then final round consists of two 1:1. More on why IB etc and then which industry I'm interested in. I said the financial institutions so I was asked to give a story of how the financial crisis came about. In the second interview I was asked how a deal is carried out and to discuss recent M&A news, and again more on why IB why M&A.

Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 1 week)
It was a highly technical interview, asking a ton of questions which were much more in depth than any online I-banking guides. The questions ranged all over the technical spectrum. If you're applying for this post, be very prepared. I studied for maybe a night or two, you should study for at least 3 or 4 before interviewing. Very nice interviewer though, don't be worried, just make sure you're completely ready for anything.
