Interviewed Jun 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
Applied in person. A month later, received a call for a face-to-face interview. Interview was fairly easy. Interviewer was very relatable and candid; she gave out a comfortable vibe. Was asked to follow an instructions sheet in order determine candidate's competency in reading directions. Followed-up with a company-paid drug test and background check on own time.

Negotiation Details
Only negotiation was scheduling and there wasn't much to it. Got to pick from sets of 4-hour workdays that equal 20 hours a week. Choice of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift with 3rd shift having some sort of shift differential. Very easy to get the desired hours.
Other Details
I applied In-Person and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Lincoln, NE (took a day)
After applying for a job at Molex, I received a phone call to come in for an interview, about a month or so later. At the time of the interview, I was asked the regular questions, with a few mainly about safety. I also was asked to look at a couple of parts, and tell them what was different about them. He hired me on the spot, and asked me to come in for orientation at a later date. There was a requirement to have a background check, from the state patrol office, brought to the orientation. The orientation process was very informative, and let me to my current job. They do have you sign a paper stating that you will keep all company secrets a priority.
The most important thing to remember at the interview is to make sure they know that safety is your number one priority. Also, the people are really great, and understanding about families here. They have no problem with part-time employees having weekends off for family duties. It seems to be a very family-oriented business. The office personel were very friendly, and I felt welcomed into this company. After orientation, we took a tour so that each of us could meet our supervisors, and know where to go, etc.

Negotiation Details
There was no negotiation. However, if you work 5 days/ week, you will receive overtime pay on weekends. Saturdays pay time and a half, and Sundays pay double. This makes up for any amount of pay that I would have received at another job.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Lisle, IL (took a day)
Interview with HR went very good although she was rushed and unprepared. She didn't even review my resume or background before the interview. As soon as the hiring manager saw me it was all over. He was cold and distracted. I believe it was due to my age (over 50). I never had a chance with him.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 4 weeks)
Interviewed with 4 people (HR, Director of Engineer, Supervisor, Sr. QA Engineer).
Was not at all impressed with their interviewing skills. Very disorganized and I had to wait several weeks to get an answer regarding the position. They have many manufacturing facilities overseas and employees are expected to travel internationally.

Interviewed May 2010 in Downers Grove, IL (took a day)
Everyone was very friendly, I met for 30 minutes with 4 different people. The first was a HR rep, the second was a Director of Engineering, then a Design Engineer, and an Engineering Manager. Dress was casual, it took place in a small office. They asked me a variety of questions, mostly on past experience, familiarity with software, etc. The engineers seemed more concerned with how well I learned software, rather then what specific programs I knew.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Downers Grove, IL (took 2 weeks)
The Molex team was personable, open and very focused on performance. Most folks deemed to be there a long time and were very focusedon the business. They certainly value hard work, a team-focused perspective and eagerness to drive positive change. Great people to talk to and work with.

Reason for Declining
Had to choose between multiple offers. It was a very difficult choice as I really liked the folks that I talked to and it seems to be a great place for a motivated individual to work, grow and prosper.
