Interviewed Dec 2009 in Saint Louis, MO (took 2 weeks)
The company treats all applicants equally and as a contract employee, I applied online just the same as an individual that never worked within the company walls. The interview process to become an employee was more difficult than to become a contract employee. To become a contract employee, there was a phone interview, followed by two seperate 1:1 interviews. In the competition to become a full-time employee, the process included two seperate 1:1 interviews as well as a small panel interview with a skills test. If the applicant passes this stage, there follows a larger panel interview with three sets of 3-4 interviewers/room. Scientific roles require a presentation of research, but non-scientific only require the previously noted skills test.
Negotiation Details
The company offered well-above the area competition offers, as well as exceeding my expectations on benefits and salary with the initial offer.
