Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 3 weeks)
The whole interview process took almost a whole day since I met with 5 senior professionals in the group. Those people are very knowledgeable, smart and highly educated. So just try to be very familiar with your resume and be very confident. Show your knowledge/skills and ask smart questions. It would be great to know what services/products that Moody's is offering and what the group is doing.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
Applied on their website and received a call for an interview a few days later. Consisted of 3 separate parts, the first with the HR director, the second with employees that were already doing the Financial Data Associate position, and the last with the department supervisor. All were very friendly and straight forward. Mostly asked general behavioral questions and about future plans.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
People that interviewed me were very nice and asked the typical behavioral questions as well as review my resume in detail. There were three separate interviews back-to-back (HR Manager, Group Interview with current Financial Data Associates, and finally a Manager for the Financial Data Associate group). Each interview was very detailed and moved along very smoothly and you don't notice that 3 interviews in one day. I felt I got along with the members well and had a very positive interview session. However, did not receive an offer, but it was a great experience and felt like a great place to work for. The building is very modern and the business atmosphere is quiet, but also very busy. Definitely worth the shot.

Interviewed May 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Interviewed with two groups. First interviewer gave an Excel skills test over the phone. Seemed very unfriendly and uninterested in hearing about my experience and only wanted someone to do data entry. Interviewer was also very vague about job description. Second interviewer was an analyst who talked more about the position than my qualifications. Both interviewers called exactly on time and were shorter than expected. Received and accepted offer from second group.

Interviewed May 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
The interviews were pretty fair and average until I was invited back to the office again and again and again, plus phone interviewing with directors across the country for a total of 13 interviews. One would think I was applying for the CEO position but this was for a junior level technical support role! It seems they could not make up their minds to make a decision. At the end, they did not have the decency to tell me I did not get the job. They did not respond to my emails inquiring about my candidacy. I thank them for showing me that this is not a company I would want to work for.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
I was contacted by corporate HR a month after I applied to set up interviews. A week later there were 3 in-person interviews at the office (hiring manager, office manager, and an associate). All of the questions were personality-oriented, i.e. why do you want to work here, tell me about a time you overcame an obstacle, give me an example of how you resolved a group conflict, tell me about how you work to meet deadlines, etc. Later the same day there were 3 phone interviews (VP of the analyst group and another hiring manager). The phone interviewers asked basically the same type of questions, but the VP brought up balance sheet sheets and cash flow statements. The VP asked what you would look for when analyzing the overall health of a company. Not too difficult.
I would suggest that that an interviewee be prepared to answer a lot of of the standard personality questions and be able to give examples, as well as explain how their previous experiences translate to this job/industry. I wouldn't worry about any technical questions (besides the aforementioned accounting question) being asked. However it is important to be knowledgeable about Moody's and read upon the job function, industry you will cover, and pertinent news headlines a little bit.
Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone mostly stressed how collegial the working environment was and how well everyone got along. Work/life balance was also emphasized.
Overall I left the interview with a good impression, but I got the feeling that they already had someone else in mind for the position. Corporate HR called me at the conclusion of the interviews and informed me that they would call back within a few days to touch base and let me know. A week after the stated deadline had passed, I called HR to check in. I left a message and received no response. A week later the HR rep sent an e-mail stating that they were pursuing other more qualified candidates.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
Phone screen, followed by in person interview with three people, no technical questions, just wanted to see how much I knew about Moody's core businesses. General questions of why this position, what I thought of perception of rating agencies in general in light of credit crisis. Three interviews each 30 minutes.
