Interviewed Mar 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 1 week)
I was first called for a phone interview. the phone interview was a bunch of basic questions which prove to the HR rep that you have half a brain. i was immediately requested to come in for a set of interviews which lasted about 2 hours. I was brought in for 2 individual interviews and then a group panel interview followed by a slight tour of the facilities. I was not contacted to be told I did not get the position for about 2 weeks.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Pikesville, MD (took a day)
I went there. I presented myself. They asked me to describe my resume. They liked me, however they considered that I am to young to be able to make myself vizible in the field. I believe I failed the personality test that I had to take afterwards.

Interviewed May 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 4 months)
I interviewed for the Operations Analyst position in December of last year. The interview was relatively easy. It consisted of an on-campus interview on-site and another 2 1:1 interviews before they split us up into a team to work with legos. The puropose of the exercise was to see how we would as a team. They tell you to remember where everythnig goes and you only have about thirty seconds to rememberize where all the lego peices go. The trick is to come up with a plan to build your own model and your own idea. Esentially they want creativity and teamwork. Morgan Stanley is a great company although they are beginnig a series of upcoming layoffs, but the feedback between HR takes way too much time. I have heard this from a number of other people. Most people take other offers by the time the process concludes because the delay is too long.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 3 weeks)
I landed the interview by getting a credible reference within the company to send me a referral email via the MS hiring website. About 3 weeks later I got an email from HR saying they wanted to phone interview me.
The phone interview was pretty cookie cutter. They asked all the basic, what are your qualifications and why do you want to work here questions...a lot of which are even posted on their website. I thought it went pretty well but I got an email about another 2-3 weeks later saying I wasn't selected.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 2 days)
Started with an on campus interview with one of the Managers in the operations department. It was a pretty straight forward behavioral interview and also a chance for them to see what you know about the company. The second round interview was held a week or so later in the Baltimore Office. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours and consisted of 2 1:1s and then a group presentation to a panel about a random problem they came up with. Mine was to design a roadway system into and out of a congested city. They basically just want to see how you work in a group. Everyone's friendly though and the interview process goes by fairly quickly.

Interviewed May 2011 in Baltimore, MD (took 4 days)
The interview was a long process. First it starts with a selection from the university career fair. On campus interview which I was really prepared for but unfortunately didn't have a chance to go to the next step.
It was very competitive because there is only one or two spots for a bunch of people.

Interviewed May 2010 in Baltimore, MD (took 2 days)
The day started with a panel of recent hires speaking about what they do and what they enjoy about working with Morgan Stanley. The next step was 3 different 1:1 interviews with VP's in the specific unit, knowledge of current events involving the company played a large part of the interview. This was followed by a group exercise where we had a time limit to look at a lego model and try to replicate it from memory. After this we had to come up with a marketing plan and a tagline for this lego model.
