Interviewed Apr 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
It was the initial telephone interview. I had a few questions about my CV and why I have chosen some modules and about my dissertation topic. Why do I want to work for Morgan Stanley and why that position.
I had a few easy probability questions and some harder ones. The person interviewing was pretty nice.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in New York, NY (took 5 days)
I interviewed for a role in the IT risk team at Morgan Stanley. I met the hiring manager along with most of her team to get a good perspective on who I would be working with and what the role entailed. It was over 6 interviews, but only 30 minutes each for interview. I did spend over 2 hours meeting with the hiring manager. Eventually, Morgan Stanley was not able to hire me for the role because the position was eliminated.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 4+ weeks)
The process was quite comfortable - no hard questions, all personality tests. I'd say the people there were very nice, and considerate. The first round was a on-site aptitude test, and around 1-2 weeks later there was a telephone interview, and finally an assessment center interview. The AC had 2 1:1 interviews and 1 group interview.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 months)
I was contacted by HR about 2 months after my initial application and scheduled for a phone interview. The phone interviewer was really nice and joked about a "laundry list" of questions that she had to ask. I was only asked 2 behavioral questions and the rest were about my resume. I was not asked to go to the final round of interviews. I asked for feedback on how I could do better in my interviews, but the "firm policy prohibits this."

Interviewed Sep 2010 in New York, NY (took a day)
I got a the interview invite through my college. The interview was deeply technical. They asked me questions on Operating Systems, STLs and algorithms. What made it worse was that the interviewer did not even have a smile on him.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Shanghai (China) (took 2 days)
First, a phone interview, lasting 30 minutes. First 20 minutes are all programming problems, like c# and Java. Then a problem about algorithm. You can ask questions in the last 5 minutes.
After passing the phone interview, there is an AC lasting for 6 hours. First, a paper test, two problems of writing codes by hand. Then there rounds 1 to 1 interviews, all programming and algorithm problems, and some fit questions. Then a group interview, giving you a topic and ask you to give presentations in group.
Be declined at last, because I am not good at coding.
