Interviewed Jan 2010 (took 3 days)
The interviews were 3 steps: 1 on 1 with branch manager, 1 on 1 with partners, and group interview with team staff.
The branch manager was a pretty canned interview; questions about professional background, how to handle specific challenges, what your friends would say about you, and what are ideal work conditions.
Interviews with partners were very casual. They were trying to gauge personality and what makes you tick. Specific questions about skill set and work experience.
Interviews with staff was mostly about skill set and work experience. What software experience do you have, etc.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Mumbai (India) (took 4+ weeks)
The people are very receptive, but ask very tough mathematical questions. The group has very quality people, but was extremely disappointed with the behavior of the manager. His behavior was autocratic and authoritative.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in New York, NY (took 5 days)
A recruiter assisted me in locating this position. A person from Morgan Stanley's HR dept contacted me and scheduled the interviews. The phone interview was quick and to the point and led to a 1:4 interview in New York a few days later. All 4 of the people I interviewed with seemed personable and knowledgeable of their responsibilities and didn't fumble around in the interview process. I thought the experience to be very good and was eager to take on the role. The position was very similar to what I was doing in my previous role with another financial institution so I thought my chances were very good at landing the position. I believed I answered all their questions very well however since I was not in their shoes, only they would know. I was advised at the end of the 2 hour interview that they would contact me the following week for a second interview.
In the days after the interview, the HR person that scheduled the interviews also requested me to complete forms and even asked for my SSN for background checks, which I thought was odd considering how I had only had a phone and one face-to-face interview (granted it was with multiple people). I presumed that they were really interested. That following week I followed up with the person in HR because I had not heard anything from the hiring managers. I later received an automated response from Morgan Stanley indicating the position had been filled or closed. I was not 100% sure of what to make of it because of the experience in the interview process but at face value I presume I was not selected to continue. I thought I had solid experience to land this position but I suppose there was someone else more qualified. Hard time to be unemployed.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Moscow (Russia) (took a day)
job: part-time worker in finance dep., mainly to deal with Excel. Had 2 separate 1:1 interviews, first with the finance department employee, second with a hr recruiter. the first one was quite logical, with questions about 'my story' and 'assets vs. liabilities', 'credit vs. debit'.
the second one was too abstract, it semt like the recruiter was a bit strange, asked seemingly not-coherent questions.
they promised to call back in 3 days, failed to do that, i only managed to reach them 5 or 6 days after the interiew and they informed about their denial.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Pikesville, MD (took a day)
I went there. I presented myself. They asked me to describe my resume. They liked me, however they considered that I am to young to be able to make myself vizible in the field. I believe I failed the personality test that I had to take afterwards.
