No Offer – Interviewed in New York, NY Apr 2010 – Reviewed May 27, 2010
Interview Details –
Cheap lairs. Beware of Morgan HR person saying they will make you a job offer. They really mess me over, similar to what happened to another person that posted comment where they say they will make offer then turn around and screw you. I had to turn down a solid offer while Morgan HR person told me they were getting approval for compensation package.
2 round technical phone screen follow by 6 round in-person interview the final HR interview
during final HR interview they gave me all the info on the benefits package, 20day vacation, 401k, medical, gym and asked what salary I was looking for. I gave them a #, told them I have another offer from another company that needed a reply in 2 days. I was told they will run the #s quickly and get back to me.
reply from HR
1st week- we are still very interested sorry to keep you waiting
2nd week- approving manager is out of office
3rd week- still waiting on approval will get back to you shortly
4th week- sorry for the wait we're still working on it
5th week- no reply
6th week- We're very sorry we can't move forward due to budget changes head count is no longer available
a total lie because I had a Morgan friend check HR person's calendar availability in the 5th week to see if HR person was busy. Because the calendar was open my friend could see that HR was still bringing in people for the same position ID. leave me to think they went with another person who was asked for a lower salary.
They really messed me over. In this economy jobs are hard to come by. I had to turn down a solid opportunity because Morgan HR assured me that they will extend a offer. Guess you really can't trust a shady bail-out company. Who knows, maybe they really need to save the money for a up coming settlement with SEC or clients they screwed over.
