Interviewed Aug 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
It all started with a phone interview with one of the HR team members. I was asked general behavioural questions, as well as why I wanted to join the firm and what my strengths were. After that, about a week later I had to do an on-line numerical test which qualified me for the assessment centre. It was 5 hours long and included group exercise with a presentation, personal interview, as well as two 1-hour long technical interviews.
As far as people are concerned, everyone was really nice, the interviewers helped me out if I was struggling with the answer and in general theyh wanted to assess how you think and whether you would fit into company's profile, rather than evaluate you dry, uni knowledge base.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 days)
Applied for One-Year Placement in Operations, the process consitst of one telephone interview (purely competency based, the interviewer is nice, tries to chill you out and build rapport, make it a bit informal) and then there is an asessment centre (45 min grop exercise, 2 * 40 min competency based interviews). The first interview during the asessment centre focuses on your general competencies, the second one docuses on the competencies required for the division you applied to).

Interviewed Apr 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
It was the initial telephone interview. I had a few questions about my CV and why I have chosen some modules and about my dissertation topic. Why do I want to work for Morgan Stanley and why that position.
I had a few easy probability questions and some harder ones. The person interviewing was pretty nice.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
They called me on Friday at 8 p.m. and just said that i was invited to an interview that will take place <date and time> The person on the phone sounded neither friendly nor helpful, and was not expecting questions. I asked a couple of questions, one about which department I will be interviewed for - she answered IBD and that I was a lucky one. The office was quite good, but rather deserted and somewhat grave. I had two interviews, basically cv-based, with a little incline into professional skills and some questions on valuation (which I did not answer very well). The first interviewer was a vp, he asked me to tell him about myself and started crossing out items on my resume that I covered. Overall, his attitude was not overly serious, more of condescending. The second one was an analyst, he asked basically similar questions, with more emphasis on my research work. Overall, as it was my first IB interview ever, I felt that I kinda did not do well. That proved right, I was not called back.

Interviewed May 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took a day)
Got a fast-track to a superday following an insight week I took part in in the London offices. I was selected for this on the basis of resubmitting an updated CV and CL following the week. When attending my AC, I took part in three one-to-one interviews, and had to give an individual presentation and sit a numerical test. The interviews seemed to vary between myself and other candidates based on my undergraduate degree subject, and as such, my interviews were slightly more technical.
