I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Motiva Enterprises (Norco, LA).
It was pretty straight forward. I have 30 min phone interview, which followed by personal interview onsite. Prior to the personal on-site interview, they asked for the salary expectations, & negotiated how much they will offer, if selected. Personal interview was one hour personal/technical interview with hiring manager, one hour behavioural type interview with HR, which followed by 1 1/2 hour lunch with the team (without Manager) to understand the culture, team, etc.....

Two different boards, but both done in the same day. You are asked about your resume, and asked to describe your current employment duties. They make you feel at ease, after all, you are sitting in front of HR, Supervisors, and Union members. You are expected to explain in detail; each board member will ask you 3-5 questions. I was asked roughly 3 most of the time. Shell will contact you in about a week after you interviewed, maybe two.

Two separate interviews with a panel of three employees from various departments. They give you information about the company and the position then you the y say "Tell us about yourself and experience". The next interviews consist of situational/behavior questions, Like tell of a time you had to deal with a difficult employee, what you had to accomplish and what was the outcome.
The starting wages were non negotiable.
