Interviewed Apr 2011 (took 2 days)
I submitted an on-line application for the position which I found through Motorola's website. I got a phone call from the hiring manager which led to a fairly conversational interview - nothing taxing or stressful. I figured I helped myself by dropping the name of a founder of the company which was acquired by Motorola, with whom I was somewhat familiar. This phone interview led to the on-site interview, scheduled and confirmed via email.
Four people (5 if you include the recruiter at the end). One was manager and one was a marketing guy, both tossing softball questions. Since this was a somewhat senior technical position, two others were an engineering manager and a peer (same role as the one for which I was interviewing). Both asked fairly easy questions (some exactly same questions in a few cases), but didn't follow up with more detailed questions to dig into the depth of knowledge. A novice could have come up shining like a rose for this fairly senior role.
A little more than a week later, I followed up with the recruiter who confirmed an offer was in the works. I received the offer shortly thereafter, which offered by asking salary which immediately made me regret I didn't ask for more. But what can you do?

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Lake Mary, FL (took 2 weeks)
The interview was for a contract position so there were only two rounds - phone screening by the hiring manager and f2f. The phone screen was right out of a website for qa interviews. It consisted of some theory based questions like what is a bug, what steps are taken to resolve it etc., and situation based questions like what would you do if you were given such and such application to test.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Bayan Lepas (Malaysia) (took a day)
Initial communication was through the phone and email with HR. The were very eager and asked to schedule the interview on the next day. I declined as I was living a few hundred kilometres away. Finally, it was scheduled a few days later.
Interviewers were late by 30 minutes, but they gave a good impression during the interview. Questions were mostly related to experience and things that I have learned during my work and studies. They allowed me to ask many questions about the work done here. Total duration was 1.5 hours.
Interviewers seemed very friendly to each other and gave the impression they were old friends. No rivalry between them.

Some can be much harder than others. Mine was brutal. Ive known other ones for the same job to be much much easier. Job comes with certain prerequisites:
1. Be a talker ( and more importantly a good listener)
2. People person ( you need to be able to carry a conversation with ANYONE and make them like you)
3. Ability to present to the government CTO
