    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Mutual Trading (Los Angeles, CA).

    Interview

First call is key, wear suit, clean haircut, no beard.
Do not look flashy, look professional and wear serious colors.

Be ready to speak english and japanese. Most interviews are in Japanese unless is not part of your curriculum (so don't say you "know little japanese" if you don't fluently speak it).
Study the products on the website to show that you know something about the company.
Smile, this is the food & beverage industry, not the army.
Very important is showing that you are a good and easy going character.
Besides your past experiences, what they want to know is if you're a japanese food lover too.

Second call is time to meet others that will work closer to you, same department, so you're almost there.
Chances are that management liked what they saw on the first call so now is time to see if you can hang with your future peer. Yes, their opinion counts!

Then be ready to negotiate your offer, always aim at a descent number so research what is the average salary first. If you go to high, well, expect a thank you for your time call.

Third call is basically a "when can you start?"
