Interviewed Oct 2008 in Burbank, CA (took 2 weeks)
I applied online for a position and was contacted via phone by an individual in HR/Recruiting and not somebody within the department I applied for. I had to complete an additional survey and an interview was scheduled for a few days later. I interviewed only with the person that would be the manager of this position.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took a day)
For a director position, after a few min of small resume talk, the interviewer went directly into a case about programming prior to explaining the position or group, which caught me off guard.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in New York, NY (took 3 weeks)
After applying you speak to a generic campus relations maanger who weeds out the good and bad talent. Then she directs you to a person you'd be supporting for a 2nd interview. From there resumes are checked and background screens done. They want candidates to know what type of position they are looking for upfront; it shows confidence.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took 5 weeks)
The process was very frustrating and completely disorganized. I applied online and they contacted me relatively quickly to schedule a phone interview. However, at the appointed time the recruiter who was supposed to interview me had her assistant call to interview me instead; no explanation; no email from the recruiter, nothing. The assistant couldn't answer even the most basic questions about the position, the department or the company. She just ran through her list of prepared questions, while typing the whole time. After the interview she emailed me to have me repeat my answers to a couple of questions; I guess she had missed them the first time while trying to multi-task.
The sad part is I began the process really excited about the position and the company, but after the way I was treated, I would never want to work there. If a company is this disrespectful to potential employees when they're supposedly trying to make a good impression, imagine how they'll treat you once you're in the door!

Because it is a large company, the interview process for an internship may take a while. I sent in my resume and cover letter at least 2 months before I got a response. You are then interviewed by an individual from the Human Resources department. If they like you, the HR department passes on your resume to whatever department needs you may be interested in and happens to need an intern. From there, you interview with the supervisor in the specific department and wait for them to contact you.
