Interviewed Jan 2012 in Duluth, GA (took 1+ week)
NCR has hired Right Thing, Inc. to do their screening. I hope they are not paying much because they are not getting much for their money. My screener/interviewer did not know the meaning of the acronyms in the posting. The position reports to the T&T Practice Manager. What the heck is that? The questions ended with" What do you think will be your greatest contribution to this position?" It was a completely generic Project Management job description. NCR, get a clue!

Interviewed May 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 5+ weeks)
First phone interview by a third-party recruiting company. Dry, confirmation of resume details. 1 hour
Second interview was a group/panel interview of three NCR team members by phone. 1.5 hours
Third interview was at the NCR offices, with the same panel but this time with face-to-face interaction of the one ATL-based contact in the group. 1.25 hours
No contact or follow-up on the position after that, which was weird. They must have invested more than 10-12 man hours in me so it seemed odd that no feedback was provided after the third interview. Not known if the position was filled or deleted.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Duluth, GA (took 3 months)
I initially applied online through the company's website. I was declined the first time, however a month later I received another email from NCR stating they wanted to interview me. I went through my first phone interview with a general HR representative who asked me basic questions about why I wanted to work for NCR and why I desired to leave my previous position. They told me a decision would be made soon and shortly after, I was contacted by a different HR representative to have another (but more brief) interview and to schedule a 1:1 interview with the department's director / manager. Interviewing with the director was pretty much average. He didn't seem to know a lot about the subject matter when I asked him advanced questions about how they worked at NCR. When I asked if I could meet the other members of the team before making a final decision the director informed me that they would fly me to Dayton (as they had not finished moving down to Atlanta yet) so I could meet the team. That trip never happened however and my requests for a "Why" were never returned. I had several phone interviews with the director after my 1:1 interview where he asked me the same questions over and over again that I answered for him in my 1:1 interview. After finally providing a sense of urgency on my part that a decision had to be made, an offer letter was finally extended to me. I accepted and joined the company 3 months after my initial phone interview.
The work culture is business causal with casual Fridays. I noticed after walking the door that most people are straight-laced and don't seem to relax or have fun. Most workers seem to sit in their cubicles all day without much socializing with other employees or taking breaks. The headquarters didn't seem to have any life to it. Most people I met seemed like they were drained and didn't care much for their job.

Negotiation Details
The negotiation phase was a 15 minute phone call with an HR representative to discuss salary and benefit requirements. It was fairly informal and in my opinion should have been a bit more professional on NCR's end. It seemed like they wanted to quickly breeze through that part of the interview process without putting care into ensuring the applicant / new employee was comfortable with everything.

It is NCR mobiqa for mobile development.
First got a telephone interview. The process was friendly. Most questions were about the basic concepts of OO, Java, and some Web knowledge. Also asked about the CV experience and relevant courses. It took about 30 minutes.
The second on-site interview consist of three parts: 1.two people asked about CV experience and basic technical questions, including design pattern, html5, ajax. 2.A pen and paper design question, to design a program based on a given scenario. 3.Programming test, related to sorting and hashtable. Quite basic.

Interviewed Nov 2011 (took 4 weeks)
The interview was standard format. Director interviewed me first and ran down competency based questions. Then I met with the managers individually. Interview lasted 3 hours. Nothing too challanging I think you do need to have the correct answers to their questions though and present yourself as there to contribute and have a friendly disposition. I would say my success was about 50% skills and 50% personality.

Interviewed May 2010 in Peachtree City, GA (took a day)
A recruiter called me and set up the interview. I went and interviewed for an hour. Out of the 30+ people who applied, three were hired. I was the only one hired, who had no experience with the company (NCR).
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
The negotiation phase consisted of asking the recruiter for relocation assistance. That was about it. I could have asked for more money (probably left some on the table), but I didn't. After i accepted the job, my boss told me that he was sending a "message" to his bosses. He would either look like a hero or an idiot!

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Duluth, GA (took 2+ weeks)
Step 1 Initial phone conversation with recruiter -- salary requirements were mandatory to move forward so be prepared to answer that question.
Step 2 10 days later was the in person interview - 5 - one hour interviews with 5 different people - potential peers, hiring manager, colleagues.
Step 3 8 days after Step 2 there were more in person interviews - 5 - one hour interviews with 5 more people - potential peers, senior management
Come prepared for a marathon interview session, no breaks, just in a conference room with the interviewers coming and going. Everyone was pleasant and tried to give a realistic view of the challenges that they faced. Most used a STAR approach to the questioning - Asking for Situation Task Action and Results - concrete examples of experiences.

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Peachtree City, GA (took 4+ weeks)
I applied for this position online. Several weeks later I received a phone call from the recruitment screening third party company they use. I then was told that if I was selected I would here something back soon. About two weeks later I was called to set up a second phone interview, this time with the hiring manager. About one to two weeks later I was called for a face to interview. Two weeks later I was called an offered the position. I received the official offer letter. Currently I am going through the background and drug screen process through another third party company named HireRight

Interviewed Aug 2011 in Peachtree City, GA (took 6 weeks)
The hiring process is long, however the interviews was smooth. I applied on July 07, 2011, received an email setting up a phone interview. The recruiter asked a few questions from previous employment. Two weeks to the day I received a phone call to schedule a phone interview with the hiring manager. After speaking with the hiring manager she advised me I would hear something on Friday but I received another call on Tuesday (the next day) to schedule a face to face. I interviewed on Monday and Tuesday I was offer the position. I accepted with pleasure now I am waiting background and drug test results.
