    Interview

A group panel asked several questions about knowledge and experience in the field of engineering. They were very laid back and really wanted to get to know who I was as a person. They looked for confidence and intelligence more so than real world experience.

    Interview

Long and not too much feedback during the entire process. Left you guessing on status. Was a little bit sterile and way too focused on specific scenario questions. Not enough discussion about the position, just questions about previous scenarios.

    Summer Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at National Grid (New York, NY) in June 2012.

    Interview

Initially applied online but had an employee referral. I received an email notifying me that I was being considered for the position and that I should forward my availability for a phone interview. The phone interview was between me and three managers at National Grid. We did a conference call where they each alternated asking me questions. The questions were behavioral. After I did well enough on the phone, I was asked to come by a location for an in person, one on one interview and I was given a specific time to show up. Similar to the phone conversation, the questions were behavioral. Some of the questions were the same but, unlike the phone interview, there was a good deal of small talk.
