I got the interview opportunity during career fair for the ELP program. The first round interview was hold the next day for 15 minutes. Only two questions were asked. Interviewed Sep 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
I got the interview by attending a career fair and giving the representative my resume. The interview was one on one and lasted for about an hour. The questions were broken up into four behavioral questions and then two technical questions. The behavioral questions were standard “How did you handle this situation?” questions. The technical questions were geared more to see how you think more than what you know.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Austin, TX (took 2 weeks)
First there was a "phone screening", which was interview #1. Then they called back and invited me for a meet and greet lunch with three other associates and managers, in their company lunch room.
After another week, I got called back to do a presentation (power point) about myself, and then do three interviews after that. One that was a two panel, then two three panel interviews. I didn't get called back for the second two panel interview. Questions up to that point were about the company, a little bit about the job and my experience, a lot that gauged my business knowledge, and behavioral based questions. I was under-qualified, so I had trouble answering them

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
I got call from NI after applying at Career fair of my college. I interviewed with National Instruments couple of days back. Questions were pretty easy. There were several behavioral questions followed by some HR questions about my interests etc concluded by 2 technical questions.
1. How do u shuffle a deck of cards ?
2. Given a binary tree find the avg of numbers in the tree - both recursive/iterative approaches.
For both these questions I had to write code in C/C++.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
I met the representatives of NI at our Career Fair and expressed my interest in the Software position. They were interviewing the following two days and had interview slots available. I spoke to them about my leadership roles, friends of mine who work at NI, projects I've completed and my software skills. They were impressed and invited me to come to the Info Session they were having later that day. I went to their presentation about the company, intern and full-time roles and things to do in the Austin area. I met the recruiter again and he told me he would call me later that evening to confirm the interview time. One disadvantage I had was that I only had 12 hours to prepare for the interview (including sleep) because the interview was scheduled for the following morning. He suggested the interview would be based on Object-oriented programming and also contain some resume based questions.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Austin, TX (took a day)
Began with skills test - logic gates, ohms law, freq and amplitude of signal on scope screen. On to 1 on 1 interviews with 2 hiring managers. Asked standard interview questions such as ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize, describe some success you had at previous job and something you could have done better. Each asked a tech question - one troubleshooting circuit, one logic problem. Seemed to go well. Took one month to get reject letter. No explanation, but I'm guessing my salary expectations were too high. They also might not have liked that I said that I didn't really want a job that would just be counting parts for prototype jobs. Either that or I am delusional and a crappy tech.
