    Interview process is mainly technical for internships. Also application and follow up has to be aggressive as they usually dont hire interns. Knowing someone in the company is a definite advantage

    Firstly their will be a written test from ntpc called engineer executive exam
    this exam have mainly :-
    aptitude reasoning
    verbal reasoning
    subject knowledge base
    the % of test is about 85% and rest is divided as 8% gd and 15%interview
    the qualified student will be called for gd acc, to the ratio 1:3(3 candidates for 1 vacancy)

      also their is some subjective question for checking ur knowledge base
      these can be from thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer

    Hiring process starts with the application form for trainee along with the submission of your resume.
    If selected then you are called for a GD and then personal interview.
    personal interview is only technical round taken by a panel of senior level employees and Mr. P.K. Nag who is renowned author of several books on mechanical engineering. Questions range from simple formula based to conceptual and application based questions.
