EXecutive trainee is the 1st designation then asst. manager. 1st year you have to undergone training .After training an internal examination takes place .     Interview process is mainly technical for internships. Also application and follow up has to be aggressive as they usually dont hire interns. Knowing someone in the company is a definite advantage

    Firstly their will be a written test from ntpc called engineer executive exam
    this exam have mainly :-
    aptitude reasoning
    verbal reasoning
    subject knowledge base
    the % of test is about 85% and rest is divided as 8% gd and 15%interview
    the qualified student will be called for gd acc, to the ratio 1:3(3 candidates for 1 vacancy)

    • In interview they might ask u why u want to join NTPC be prepared for this question and where do u see urself after 10 years from the date of joining
      also their is some subjective question for checking ur knowledge base
      these can be from thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer
