I applied in-person and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Neighborhood House in October 2009.
Interview Details – After sending my application I got a call within a few days. I was interviewed by a panel of three people and asked personality, experience, and scenario type questions. Two things that threw me for a loop were being asked what my opinion of Harm Reduction was (I was not familiar with that term at the time), and being given a test where I looked at a sample family's budget (their monthly expenses and monthly spending) and had to decide whether I would give them emergency rent assistance or not.
Interview Question – What is your opinion on harm reduction? Answer Question
Pros: The people there are all really nice. I can't speak to the people in leadership, but the staff that most people interact with on a daily basis and people you would work will are really nice and very genuine. – Full Review
