Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Grapevine, TX Apr 2009 – Reviewed Apr 21, 2010
Interview Details – Online application and then received call back. Interviewed with the lead of the department. Very easy going fun interview. Very comfortable. Asked the typical interview questions. Second interview was with HR manager. She was very awkward. Couldn't tell if she liked me or not. Felt very uncomfortable as far as facial expressions and responses I got back. She asked the same questions and a little bit more about experience. Got an offer and then submitted to background check, drug test and then credit check. After everything I still didn't feel as though I got the position because of the awkward interview, but I did. Turns out, that was just her personality.

Interview Details –
I applied online and received a call back/ phone interview a day later and was really impressed with the swiftness they were moving at.
I came in for the interview thinking it was for a visual merchandising position as the ad focused on floor sets, keeping things organized, bringing out merchandise, and setting up mannequins. There was little mention of what the position was truly about (management included)
We went through a lot of questions about where I find my inspiration for merchandising and fashion, what some emerging trends are, schedules, and some details about the position (it was not a set M-F 9-5)
The interviewer didn't really seem to be listening to what I was saying, and I had to ask the same question for clarification several times.
Over all the clarifications, the interview went really well and when I asked when they were hoping to have the position filled I was told I would be contacted in a week or two and if I didn't hear anything, just send an email and follow up.
I sent a thank you and followed up several times and have no heard anything back.
I cannot stand this rude behavior, especially when interviewees like myself take pride in presenting their work, knowing a lot of information on the company, coming prepared with quality questions, and genuinely want a career, not just a job.
Really, you're too busy to send the people you thought highly enough to interview a rejection email? This reflects SO poorly on the company, I can't believe there aren't more policies in place to do damage control.

Interview Details – The interview process is tedious!!! Mines took two mths and entailed 6 interviews! The interview with the store manager was intimidating and they seem a bit disorganised as I was going back and forth as they apparently werent't liasing with each other.
Interview Question – Nothing unexpected. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – They offered me $23 but because I know they usually start at $25 and go all the way up to $28 why would I accept that? Anyways so I informed the HR person making me the offer that I need a minimum of $25 in a couple hours she called back and gave me $25.

The process is tedious but well worth it. I first submitted an open app on the website. Ultimately, I was hired after interview and negotiation process took just over 3 weeks. It consisted of 8 interviews between the company and and the brand I represent…Area Dir. of brand (2), Acct. Exec of brand (1), Merchandise Manager (1), Dept. Mgr (1), and HR (3).
Of course you encounter the same attitudes in any beauty department but over all this has to be one of the most pleasant experiences I have had.
Interview Question – If you were given $1,000,000 but could not give it to a non-profit or use it on yourself, what would you do? View Answer
Negotiation Details – Initial offer was low but that is the nature of most HR Reps. I was fortunate to be in a position to know the salary range from an insider. It took an additional 8 days but I was finally able to talk them up from $24 to $28 per hour.
