Interviewed Apr 2012 in Boston, MA (took 2 months)
Completely disorganized! Calls from inept recruiters with no follow up and ZERO information about the potential role. They could not answer basic questions. 2 months pass and get another call from the recruiter claiming they were still trying to schedule a call with the hiring manager. Really?
The interview call is finally scheduled with the hiring manager(who had the personality of a doorknob) and was asked how the territory would be approached. How do you answer that without knowing about 1.The role 2.Territory 3.Vertical 4.Company size target 5.ANYTHING. The hiring manager also had a very condescending attitude about the position I currently hold....which by the way is at a much larger company!
Terrible prep from recruiting team. Thanks.

Interviewed Apr 2012 in Austin, TX (took 4 weeks)
The testing was exhaustive. It's probably a decent organization but they misled me about the structure of their organization. They forgot to mention they were just opening a satellite office in Austin only had a half dozen employees there. The testing process was fine.
My big issue is after the interview they did not offer to reimburse my expenses as they said they would. I was in the Austin area for another interview and had extended my flight and stayed a hotel a few extra nights at my own expense with the understanding it would be reimbursed. I had asked to do a virtual interview as my schedule was already tight as is but they insisted on an in person. When I get there 2 out of the 3 interviewers were virtual themselves!!!

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I was looking to leave my previous employment in the network security space, and came across a position posted on the NetSuite careers page that seemed like a perfect match for what I was looking for. I reached out to a friend who works at NetSuite (in a different department), and was encouraged to submit my resume online. I put my friend as a reference. Within 1 day I was contacted for a phone interview, and within 1 week I had interviewed with 3 people in the Marketing department. I got an offer that exceeded my expectations less than 3 weeks later.
I was very excited to join NetSuite after meeting the team, as I got the impression that this was a dynamic tech company that encouraged out-of-the-box ideas. They didn't seem to bother with micromanagement and bureaucracy, but instead trusted each individual as a professional and valued their input and contribution.
My advice to anyone in the interview process is: while people here are friendly, they take business very seriously so come prepared and know your stuff. Experience and education is important, but personality is too--being part of the team and fitting in with the culture goes a long way.

The interview process, while rigorous, went very smoothly. The recruiter I was assigned to was very helpful in keeping me posted every step of the way. He always made sure my questions were answered and did his best to make me feel welcome and secure. To be honest, I didn't need to do any negotiating, because as mentioned, their offer far exceeded my expectations to begin with.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
I was recruited by NetSuite in early October 2010. The interview process-from initial contact to job offer-only took two weeks. I had a phone interview with the in-house recruiter and then came in to meet her face to face. Once that initial screening took place I was contacted via email later that day to coordinate a face to face with the hiring manager and SR. executives from that department. The interviews went very well, the executives were very bright, friendly, open and honest. They inquired about my experience, education and ability to execute in the position. I had an overall great feeling about the position and the company, and was excited about the potential opportunity to work for NetSuite. Two days later I received the job offer and of course I accepted!

Interviewed Mar 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took a day)
NetSuite has a very positive interview process. I felt very relaxed and at ease as I went through the interview. I felt that the interview was a good combination of assessing my personality along with assessing my skills/readiness for the job. NetSuite is also very astute in their interview process in that they listen to whatever you list as a strength and make sure to let you exercise your strength upon being hired.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took 1 week)
The very first contact I made with NetSuite was on their website. After perusing their products and core values I thought, “this company would be a great place to work”. A few days after I applied for the position, a human resources manager contacted me for a brief 20-minute phone interview. We discussed basic screening topics such as relevant work experience, education, and why I was interested in the position. The recruiter was exceptionally thorough, and knowledgeable. Four days later, I was contacted to arrange an in-person interview in the San Mateo, CA office.
Despite my usual interview symptoms (heightened adrenaline and sweaty palms), my experience with NetSuite was fantastic. I met with the hiring manager, a marketing manager, and an intern. They were intelligent and passionate about their work. We not only discussed why I thought I was a good fit for the role, but we also explored my perspective. They asked questions such as what I would look for in a trade show, how I would handle securing media coverage, and my skill level working with analytics. I felt as though they were genuinely trying to get to know me. One tip I can offer: make sure you have a perspective. I had many questions on the current trends in technology and how I thought they could be useful.
The entire process took about two weeks: from initial phone interview to my start date.

Interviewed Apr 2011 (took a day)
Initial interview was a phone screening, where it was clear the company recruiter was very unknowledable about the position. The second interview consisted of a 3 hour visit to the San Mateo campus, where I met with 3 individuals from the department. Some of the questions posed by the interviewers were typical "interview" type questions, however, I felt as if though much of the interview was spent asking about how things were done at my current employer. It felt as if though Netsuite employees were using the interview time to find out how to better improve processes at their company as opposed to figuring out if I was a suitable candidate for the position.
Personally, I did not care much for any of the individuals I talked to, as they came off as lacking interpersonal skills. Perhaps this has to do with the fact the most of the accounting department is outsourced to Manilla, and therefore, strong interpersonal skills are not as essential to success at Netsuite.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in San Mateo, CA (took 2 weeks)
I had an initial discussion with the recruiter, followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then face to face interviews with the hiring manager and other people in the organization.
In any interview process, the comfort and perception of what the candidate takes away from the meetings is always determined by the professionalism, and the type of discussions you have. I have always tried to be transparent and welcoming to any people I have hired or interviewed earlier, even when parts of an interview may be trying to put the candidate under pressure or see how they handle unknowns etc.
I can happily say that the people I met at NetSuite came across as professionals, who were very forthright with what they were looking for, and where they thought there were gaps in my experience.
One reason I accepted the offer was the good vibe I felt while having the discussions during the interview process.
So far, I haven't seen anything after joining the company that seems to contradict what I felt earlier, so I can definitely recommend NetSuite to other candidates considering job opportunities at the company.
