After the preselection process of MBA candidates for a summer internship position, 5 candidates per job position were invited for an interview with the hiring managers. Interviewed Aug 2011 (took a day)
After applying at New Balance on Sunday, I got a phone call from the manager the next morning. We agreed to meet in the afternoon. I interviewed at a New Balance store inside a mall. The manager asked questions that focused on customer service and the ability to sell. She told me that I was funny and kindly said that she'd call me if she needed additional help, I believe.
SUGGESTIONS: Be yourself, but also important, make sure you can convince that manager about your ability to sell, if not, provide superior customer service. I think this is where I could have done better, looking in retrospect.

Interviewed May 2010 in Boston, MA (took a day)
Good communications from company HR, and good follow up letter. I just wasn't the exact fit for the position. I really like this company, but they are definitely hiring people who exactly fit the roles, and not necessarily hiring the most dynamic people for the position.

Interviewed May 2010 in Brighton, MA (took 2 days)
Met with HR rep first. Gave a run down of the position. Met with tax manager. He gave a more in depth view of the position and day to day responsibilities. Very nice people. Great office in a great location. Everyone was dressed rather casually. Seems like a laid back environment.
