User Interface Designer Interview

User Interface Designer
Mountain View, CA

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Nokia in July 2010.

Interview Details – Generally a good interview process. Liked the senior folks more than the less-senior ones. I'd call it a typical tech interview...a few people were upbeat, one was clinically depressed, one had a frozen smile on her face and eyes like a pterodactyl looking for prey. You know, the usual suspects.

Interview Question – This interview was so plain-vanilla that I do not remember any specific question as standing out in any way.   Answer Question

The process took a day - interviewed at Nokia in March 2008.

Interview Details – I applied online and was called for an interview.

I interviewed with a developer, product manager, hiring manager and director of engineering.

Many question like:
How would you turn around a project that wasn't going well?
Tell me about a project you had that was going poorly. Why was it?
Pick a game you like, how would you design it?
How does AGPS work?

I was impressed with the people I met.

Interview Question – Pick a game, how would you design it?   View Answer

Reason for Declining – Got another offer at a company headquartered in the bay area.
