Interviewed Apr 2010 in Berlin, Berlin (Germany) (took a day)
One of the senior developers first contacted me by phone and asked a couple of basic programming, math and algorithm questions, apparently to sort out the applicants who don't know anything.
The interview itself consisted of 7 rounds of about an hour length each. 4 of them with developer teams, one with the head of HR, one with a product manager and one with a director of development I believe. The developer teams each posed different kinds of questions, some were more into mathematics and asked for little proofs (advanced high-school math level), others asked algorithmic questions (e.g. about graph theory, constraint resolution), and others still asked questions about elementary data structures and algorithms on them. Answering the questions often involved programming a little in pseudo-code on a sheet of paper.
The interview process was very comprehensive, which told me a lot about the relatively high quality of the development staff. The number of interviews was stressful of course, but it also introduced me to many of the people I would have worked with.

Reason for Declining
The offer in itself was certainly good especially for Berlin, but I did receive a better one.

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took a day)
Basically it's technical skill based. You need to be familiar with embedded systems and C/C++ programmings. They asked questions on wide range, but not very deep.

Interviewed Jan 2010 in Berlin, Berlin (Germany) (took a day)
phone interview + face to face interview
C++ stuff and some geometric problems
I had an 3 interviews with 2 people each. 4 of them were quite nice, but 2 people were very arrogant and pushy, I did lost completely the focus during that interview as both talked to me at the same time and they contradicted each other.
The work is too low level for my like, they didn't make me an offer, but I wouldn't have accept it anyway

Interviewed Nov 2009 (took 4 weeks)
I sent my resume directly to someone I knew at Nokia. She forwarded it to the hiring manager or somehow got it in the system. It took about two weeks to hear anything. Eventually an HR person emailed me to arrange a phone screen. A couple of days later, I had a short phone screen with the hiring manager. He provided me an overview of what they were looking for - which was somewhat different from the job description I saw on the site. A few days later I was contacted by HR to schedule an in-person interview. That would be about another week or so later. I met with four people for 30 minutes each. Before the interview I had to provide information about my background on HireRight.com. Nokia must use them for their background data collection.
The interviewers were all team members and would be my peers in the position. They all gave me an opportunity to learn about the team and the position. They asked a lot of questions, but didn't really get too technical on me. It seemed like they were making sure I was a cultural fit before a technical fit. Everything stayed on schedule.
They told me to expect to hear back from them within a couple of weeks. After about a week I found out that they were going to pass on me.
