I applied online. The process took 1 day – interviewed at Nokia (White Plains, NY) in May 2008.
I posted my resume on Monster.com initially. The HR recruiter from Nokia called me and said she saw my resume online. I first met with her in January 2008. She said she would keep me posted on any jobs. In May, I received a call about a temp position to fill in for someone while out on maternity leave. I came in and met with the Vice President of product marketing and his assistant. They were very down to earth and I liked what I heard. The office was a very nice and comfortable atmosphere. I never worked for anyone quite so open minded. At times, you could work from home so it definitely balanced life and work. Unfortunately, my assignment ended and the company went under restructuring. I would go back in a heartbeat.
- Why are you temping and not looking for permanent work? 1 Answer
Actually I didn't have to negotiate because they gave me more than what I thought they would working as a temp.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days – interviewed at Nokia (White Plains, NY) in April 2008.
After speaking with a recruiter, scheduled a face to face with the hiring manager, followed by a meeting with his manager. This went extremely well and was basically offered the position on the spot
- Describe a technical product Answer Question
Asked for 10% increase in base. Recruiter did not think it would happen but presented it to them - and it was approved.
If you don't ask, you'll never know!

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months – interviewed at Nokia (White Plains, NY) in March 2008.
Interviews took a very long time to complete, and then get a final decision from the hiring manager - the whole thing took 3+ months. I had taken another job while waiting for Nokia to get back to me. Once they did make an offer everything went very smoothly, and the onboarding at the time was good - bear in mind this was 4 years ago.
- I had to do a sample writing project as a part of my hiring process, and it was covering subject matter that I had not been exposed to previously. Answer Question
The initial offer was right in line with what I wanted, so I accepted.
