Interviewed Jan 2011 (took 2 weeks)
The interview process consisted of an initial phone screening and a final round interview at the headquarters in Buffalo. The NAB employee who greeted me and the other candidates was confused about what time we were supposed to start. We were then taken into a conference room with about 7 other employees and were told that each one of us had to get up in front of them and the other candidates and essentially say why NAB should hire us. We were given 5 minutes to prepare. It was obvious that the employees knew nothing about our backgrounds because after I presented I was asked the same two questions I was asked in the phone interview and someone randomly pointed to something on my resume and asked me to elaborate on it. We were then given sales data and asked to analyze it and come up with a PowerPoint presentation in only a half an hour. The company uses the older version of Excel and PowerPoint for some reason so it was very frustrating because I felt most of the half an hour was wasted trying to re-learn the outdated software. There were no one-on-one interviews. This was the worst interview experience of my life. The employees were rude, sarcastic, one of them swore several times in front of us, and we weren't even given lunch. This company will never attract top talent because they are clueless about recruiting. They weren't trying to impress us at all. The icing on the cake was when the VP of Sales said that they're looking for people who will "kill their prey and eat it for lunch".
