Interviewed Jan 2009 (took a day)
Communication is done through a hiring manager but interviews can be performed by any department interested in hiring. Responses were quick and everyone I met was friendly and interesting. I felt that the people interviewing me were just as interested in my soft skills as they were in my academic achievement (yes, I was a college hire). Unlike some other interviews where it is possible to get some random employee, everyone I spoke to had a management role and a lot of insight to offer.

Negotiation Details
I was unable to negotiate as HR did not budge much for a college hire. Now that I work for the company, I'd say to try anyway, the most they can do is say "no". Part of the package does depend on need and other variables you will not have knowledge of at the time but if you can sell yourself, that is really all that matters.

I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in Rolling Meadows, IL (took a day)
They called me and acted as if I had made a previous commitment to fly there and interview, as if they had talked with me before. They hadn't. I flew there the next week. I arrived at 8, I was given a schedule and was interviewed by HR and several managers and given a lunch ticket for the cafeteria during lunch. The building was huge and I had to be escorted from place to place. I ended the day at HR and they made me a verbal offer, which I said I would consider. They paid for airfare, hotel and car. I flew home the next day, my offer letter came in the mail within a week and I declined due to insufficient salary.

Interviewed Jun 2010 (took 1 week)
Manager was very pleasant during phone interview. No tough questions at all. Just a quick take on my background/resume/experience. Most of the phone interview consisted of the two managers on the conference call explaining to me the details of the project I was to be hired on, since it did not directly relate to the field of engineering I was studying

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took a day)
I applied at the career fair and online. I had a phone interview which was really casual. The hiring manager didn't ask any technical question and basically just wanted to get to know me better. I was offered a second interview on site later that month. I then interviewed in front of about five people... again, no technical questions. They basically just asked about my previous work experiences and what I'm capable of. The interview ended with tour and they offered me an internship later that week. Overall, a great experience.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in Newport News, VA (took a day)
Was already a current employee & I applied for a internal position by intranet. Got notification by email of interview request and details. Interview went very smooth & I was told that I would receive notification of a decision. I never received any kind of notification so I kept checking the status on the employee job site until it totally disappeared still in interview status. Human resources at this location does a very poor job & has a very poor reputation of how employees are treated. People with less experience & skills that are not current employees with get a position before a qualified current employee.
