They not only require an extensive skill set but more importantly, a great personality. You'll be working around patients and need to make them feel comfortable and help any way you can.

Interviewed Jul 2011 in Atlanta, GA (took 6+ weeks)
Rigorous! Be prepared for several interviews (five to eight), particularly panel interviews, and having your skills put to the test. Communication was excellent. Human resources was responsive and helpful. The people are genuinely nice and want to see you join their team.

Interviewed May 2011 (took 2 weeks)
Getting a job at Northside is almost near impossible, so when I was emailed about being a potential candidate I was thrilled! I was called and did get to go to an interview and it was the best interview experience I have ever had. I felt welcomed and was able to ask questions freely, didn't feel rushed and got to know my future employer. I didn't have to worry about not having the job because they were upfront and open from the begining in letting me know that I was hired if I would accept the pay rate. Which is still unconfirmed.

HR will let you know. I really don't think there is any room to negotiate because they have a specific way they regulate the wages paid.

Interviewed Mar 2009 (took 3 days)
I went to human resources and picked up an application, filled it out and returned it to human resources.
I received a call the next day from a human resources recruiter and she gave a phone interview and sent my application to the department manager. I received a call from the manager to set up an interview for the following day. I was called the third day by recruiter with an offer and I accepted.

Salary.
Always put "negotiable" for salary because if you put a salary it may be too high or too low.

Interviewed Sep 2010 (took a day)
I met with an HR representative first for an 9:30 interview. The interview started at roughly 9:50. The HR representative told me that he was running a few minutes late and needed to clear his desk off, he then came back to get me 20 minutes later. I immediately felt that there was some unorganization on his part. During the actual interview with him he would ask me questions but did not wait until I completed my response before he rushed into another question. He did give me several forms in regards to the company, by as he was going over the forms he was jotting his notes all over the forms upside down which made the forms illegible by the time he was done with them. I then went to meet with the unit manager. She was running late as well and I spent 10 minutes waiting outside her office door for her to arrive. The actual interview went okay, all my questions were answered.
