Declined Offer – Interviewed in Winston-Salem, NC Feb 2012 – Reviewed Mar 7, 2013
Interview Details – There are 3 stages of interviews. I have never heard of anyone not getting the internship that actually wants to go through the painful interviews. maybe selling life insurance is not the best way to start out an intern in my opinion. As much as they make NorthWestern sound so great, it is not worth going through. Even 2 of my friends that had regular sales jobs there hated it and quit after about 4 months.
Reason for Declining – I thought the homework for the last interview was absurd. I had to make a list of 100 people who are in need or life insurance...everyone I know has life insurance and they don't want to talk about it if they don't. So most people lie and say they do even if they don't.

Declined Offer – Interviewed in Nov 2012 – Reviewed Feb 25, 2013
Interview Details – First was contacted by a recruiter for Northwestern Mutual while they were on my campus. Met with the recruiter and learned more about the company. They invited me into their office next and I met with the same recruiter for another interview. Then I was asked to complete an online questionnaire.
