Northwestern has more people interview you than necessary due to their love affair with dispersed responsibility. People who would work above you, below you, at your level, and in other departments will be a part of the interviewing process. It will be a multi-hour affair with 1:1 interviews and group interviews. People ask a lot of the same questions because each interview only has the goal that they "like" you, so be nice and perky.
