Negotiation Details
I was told there was no negotiation. I was given the pay and was told it is the same as our competitor. I felt I was in a "take it or leave it" situation. I am severly underpaid, even by Salary.com.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Personality Test and a Drug Test.

Interviewed May 2011 in Fayetteville, NC (took a day)
Two different offices interviewed me. In one it was the dr and the ofc mgr. In the other, it was the ofc mgr and head nurse. Both offices were clean and well kept. The staff was very warm and welcoming at both locations. I was asked only a few interview type questions...most of the time was spent with them explaining the position to me. Starting pay is $14 per hour (less than they pay Admin Assts).

Initial interview was by phone with Human Resources. Second interview with department manager. Team interview to follow Interviewers were nice but could not get a real good indication of job expectations. Team did not seem prepared. I asked more questions then they did. Team was in two different places; really two different teams. Seems to be a lot of activity happening but not sure who is responsible for what. Description of the job may be better then the actua job.

I submitted my application and resume on line. I was called by the office manager and offered an interview. At my interview, I spoke with the office manager and the nursing supervisor. I was contacted several days later to come in and interview with the physicians. After my interview with the physicians, I was told that I would be hired PRN. Novant contacted me with an offer which I accepted.

Initially applied online, naming the acquaintancce that encouraged me to apply. HR called for a brief phone intervierw and to set up a time to come in and meet/interview. The childcare director then called for an interview with her. I was contacted for a drug test after the background check was completed. Very professional and friendly HR staff, welcoming staff at TCLC, the childcare facility for Novant employees.

There is a base pay, but depending on experience you can get what you ask within reason. Raises are based on education and performance.
