Interviewed Jan 2011 in Vancouver, WA (took 4+ weeks)
There is usually 3 or more interviews with various HR staff member and possibly a department manager. Threre are sometimes, depending on position, appitude tests given. They could possibly cover math problems, spelling, punctuation, and word usage. They receive many applications so you have to follow up. Not every day but weekly is probably enough. If you don't get called, it's good to keep turning in your application to keep it fresh in their pile.

Unless you are hurting for a job stick, to what you ask for with pay. If you ask for $14-16... stick to that because they will offer lower just to see if you will take it. In my opinion, they under pay many employees. But I'm not running the business so it's easier for me to say such a thing. Still, I believe that if they paid a little more in certain positions it wouldn't feel so bad. After I say all that I guess it's just better to have a job period, especially in this economy.

Interviewed Nov 2009 in Vancouver, WA (took a day)
I waited for about 40 minutes for my interview. I can understand that companies are busy, but I was freezing in the lobby.
The interview went well. I think where I screwed up was when I was asked what my salary requirements were. I should have said, when I am offered the job we can discuss that then. But I also was asking far less than what I was making at my previous job. I should have asked what the range was. Sounds like they don't pay their employees what they are worth anyways. I thought my salary range was doable with all the people I would have had to supervise. Also the hours weren't all that appealing.
