Difficult Interview

Compliance Advisor Interview

Compliance Advisor

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at OUP USA.

Interview Details – Began with a screening phone call from HR to ensure I had the basic requirements to be interviewed. Then I was interviewed by CFO and Compliance Manager over the phone a few days later. A few weeks later I met with the Compliance Manager and HR Director in person for an interview. Everyone was very helpful and courteous to work with, overall very pleasant experience.

Interview Question – There were several questions pertaining how I would operate in the US (away from my manager in the UK) and then case questions based on the UK Bribery Act and the company policies they had sent to me.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There wasn't much negotiation, the benefits were better than expected; pay was a bit less but not a deal breaking amount. I accepted the initial offer with no complaint.
